Extra Care housing

Extra Care housing
While retaining their own privacy in self-contained accommodation, residents have the opportunity to become active parts of the schemes’ communities, providing the chance to socialise with each other, use great facilities and have the knowledge that someone is there to help when needed.

Each service offers culturally-sensitive support, focusing on maintaining independence through tailored support planning, as well as promoting good health and social interaction. Increasingly by working with commissioners and with support from health professionals, we are enabling people with high levels of care needs to remain in their home in extra care housing as an alternative to residential accommodation.

Our accommodation is well-equipped and smart, with a range of communal facilities including all or some of the following:

  • Assisted bathrooms
  • Communal Lounge/Dining rooms
  • Kitchens
  • Laundry rooms
  • Lifts
  • Activity rooms
  • Computer rooms
  • Meeting rooms
  • CafĂ©s
  • Gyms
  • Hairdressing salons
  • Access to health and wellbeing activities
  • Fitness equipment
