Walsall Mental Health Outreach Service
Walsall Mental Health Outreach Service is a service for adults experiencing the effects of mental ill health living in their own homes. We offer support in developing and maintaining the skills needed to enable people to remain living independently in their own home.
The Outreach Service provides support for customers whose primary needs relate to their mental health and support is centred around the individual. We can help with anything from supporting customers with attending appointments, shopping, cooking, housekeeping, medication, social, recreational, educational and work related activities, managing a tenancy, budgeting, paying bills and mental health support and signposting.
Prospective customers will usually have experienced mental ill-health to the extent that they need help from their GP, community psychiatric nurse, social worker or other agency, including in-patient services. Therefore referrals are usually made via an individual’s care co-ordinator. However, individuals can still self refer if they have no care team supporting them in the community.
An initial referral can be made by calling Camden Street on 01922 641483.
